Deserved Obscurity, Landlords & Fuck You!

Here we go. Another rollercoaster ride into the obscurity of blogdom.

What's on your mind today Rice?

I was involved in a rescue attempt earlier, a dog had jumped in the river and I woke up people who could do something about it. I was chuffed. Crucial role. But no glory.

So politics eh?

That's what I'm meant to be writing about. Well it's all a bit shit right now isn't it. People are uncertain that they can even stay in their own homes. That's a bit shit, right? Are you with me on this one. Then I noticed that in this timestream, that is considered normal. Unless you pay someone enough money to buy the entire house. How is that meant to be a good idea.

Let's clarify here. (Not in a ghee way).

Landlordism is a shit idea. Not only is it shit, but it is poorly executed. (And I know some of my more angry comrades would say: 'LYNCH THE LANDLORD' but if you did another asshole would come and fill the gap. The problem is landlordism, not individual landlords. Though some individual landlords can be particularly mean to their 'FUTURE EXECUTIONERS')

So who came up with it? Well they're probably dead by now. But still it is seen as a good idea. Why not just abolish it altogether. OK. Let's do that.

It's a basic freedom to be able to call a little patch of land or a van or a boat or bin or a tree 'home'. And to know that in that place, you can be left alone to get some solitude, raise your family, not raise a family but become an artist, whatever you like.

Landlordism is a way that rich, privileged people can charge people for the simple fact that these rich, privileged people have more money. (Money is bullshit too.)

Landlordism has victims. They're called tenants. Some people are such victims of landlordism that they believe it so much they don't even feel they can squat unused buildings.

In a few cases some people prefer to call the earth their bed and the skies their blanket. I am one of those. But I accept that other people suffer due to this stupid idea.

Enough for now, I need to piss. Any comments?

That's a relief.

Landlords... are taking a piss on every single tenant. Metaphorically. Some people pay to get pissed on, literally. I'd like to meet them because damn am I broke and I piss loads.

Landlords are not all bad, some are pretty good about the situation and feel gulity charging rent. But landlordism is a bad idea. Some landlords need to rely on landlordism to secure their own homes against an even worse idea... CAPITALISM. This is an idea I hope to piss on metaphorically in my next (ish) post.

Thanks for reading. Feedback is appreciated. Fuck you!

Steve, the last sentence of your post could just as easily be applied to the landlords themselves - life doesn't owe them a living, and yet due to hereditary wealth & privilege(in most cases), they still expect us to pay through the nose to inhabit a small patch of ground. We are all born on this earth, what gives them the right to say "I own this, now all the rest of you can work yourselves to death to pay me the price I demand for living here". Having a place to live is a human necessesity, not a luxury, so why the hell do we tolerate them profiteering out of something which is essential for our survival.

Too right, and, surprise, surprise....the government have just brought in more legislation to support landlordism.
The Legal Aid Sentencing and Punishment of Offenders Act was passed on 1st May making squatting of empty and unused residential homes now a crime. It doesn't matter if it's people making a statement by squatting empty spare homes of the mega rich or homeless trying to find somewhere to sleep. It doesn't matter if the building is falling down, derelict, empty for years or owned by property speculators.
For more see www.squashcampaign.org
The same Act takes away Legal Aid for most Housing and Debt issues.
Looking on landlord websites, it seems evictions are up by 17% since the bank crash started, arrears are up 13% in just the last year. And rents are still going up.
The Govt are vicious cunts

Steve. You are a troll.

Moving on from the plainly obvious... I make a half decent living, which judging by your witless comment and tawdry 'aphorism' is probably more than yours. Interestingly though, I don't find landlordism to be particularly compelling. In fact, as far as entities providing a beneficial and worthwhile service to society go, landlords quite frankly don't make the shortlist.

Education are two key elements to the advancement and advancement of a nation; progressing contentions and examinations are turning out to be more extreme relating to whether the obligation ought to tumble to the administration or people alone.
